Ten of the Best Cornish Cocktails You Must Try

Elemental Cornish Gin: Raspberry Gin Sour

Ingredients:

Method:

In a shaker, add 50ml of Elemental Cornish Raspberry Gin, 25ml of fresh lemon juice, 25ml sugar syrup, and 1 egg white. Shake this without ice first, then add ice and shake again. Strain into an empty but chilled rocks glass, then top with a berry-forward tonic and garnish with a raspberry and mint.


Cape Cornwall Rum: Mojito


Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lime chopped into chunks
  • Handful of fresh mint
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • 50ml of Cape Cornwall white or gold rum
  • Soda water

Method:

Muddle the lime, mint and sugar in a tall glass, crushing the lime and mint as you go. Add lots of crushed ice to the glass and pour over the rum, stirring with a long spoon. Finally top up with soda water and garnish with fresh mint and a lime wheel. Enjoy!


Tinkture Gin: French 75


Ingredients:

  • 50ml of Tinkture Rose Gin
  • 15ml fresh lemon juice 
  • 150g granulated sugar 
  • 150ml water 
  • Champagne 
  • Lots of ice 
  • A large bunch of thyme

Method:

First up the Thyme Syrup. Place sugar, water and thyme in a small saucepan and simmer until the sugar dissolves. Let this delicious mix bubble gently for a few minutes, then sieve to remove the thyme. 

Next fill a cocktail shaker with plenty of ice, the Thyme Syrup, lemon juice and a good measure of Rose Gin. Shake your shaker vigorously. When your arm tires strain the contents into an iced champagne glass, then top up with Champagne. Stir gently. Garnish with a sprig of thyme. 

 

Pocketful of Stones: Zennor’s Swizzle

Muddle mint in glass with lime juice and falernum. Add crushed ice, absinthe and rum and swizzle. Top with more crushed ice and bitters and garnish abundantly.


St Ives Liquor Co: The Pink Lady

In a cocktail shaker add ice, St Ives Super Berry Gin, egg white and raspberry puree. Shake well and strain into an empty cocktail shaker. Shake again dry, then double strain into a chilled coupe glass. 


Wrecking Coast Distillery: Kea Plum Flip

Ingredients:

Method:

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker, add the egg last, and dry shake so no ice at this point. Then add ice and shake again. Strain and serve then add garnish of sliced plums.


Land of Saints Organic Gin: Grapefruit G&T

Ingredients:

Method:

Shake all the ingredients together and garnish with pink grapefruit, rosemary and salted rim.

 

Penryn Spirits: The BORA Bee

Ingredients:

  • 50ml BORA Botanical Rum
  • 30ml (to taste) of Honey syrup
  • 20ml Fresh lemon juice (to taste)
  • Two sprigs of lavender

Method:

Take a cocktail shaker base and fill two thirds full of ice. Measure and pour the rum, honey, and lemon juice into the shaker and add the sprig of lavender. Stir all together for about half a minute. Finally, strain into a glass and garnish with the remaining sprig of fresh lavender.

Ingredients:

Method:

Stir all the ingredients in a shaker and serve.


Cornish Rock Gin: Lime and Rum Passion

Ingredients:

  • 30ml Cornish Rock Gin Spiced Rock Rum
  • 30ml Amaro Averna liqueur
  • 20ml freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 20ml passion fruit syrup
  • 7ml orgeat syrup
  • Crushed ice
  • Garnish with fresh passion fruit, sprig of mint, lime wedge and an orchid flower

Method:

Add plenty of ice to your shaker and the ingredients, shaking until blended. Fill your favourite glass with crushed ice, strain and pour your shaker. Top up with more ice if required and garnish with passion fruit, sprig of mint,lime wedge and orchid flower.
