The Wrecking Coast Distillery

Scurvy Gin Navy Strength 70cl

Great in a G&T with a good tonic, Fever-Tree Mediterranean or Peter Spanton No 5 Lemongrass and Ginger, but knock-out in a Negroni with a bar-spoon of olive brine. Why not fix yourself that noblest of cocktails, the Gimlet and enjoy a piece of naval history.

Gin at 57% abv traces its roots to either the “proof” of strength to avoid being swindled with watered down gin (gunpowder, sparked into gin at this strength would stay lit), or perhaps from the fact that, if spilled on gunpowder, the cannons would still fire. Either way, scurvy grass, gin and the Royal Navy are inseparable in history.

Born in Tintagel. Born to be enjoyed.

9 botanicals including fresh lemon and lime peel and locally foraged fresh scurvy grass creates a robust, juniper led gin with bold citrus notes, hints of liquorice and peppery heat from the scurvy grass.

At we want to change ‘throw away’ consumer culture, and give people a way to buy better. For us, this means promoting sustainable, ethical, local, and well-crafted products to you, the conscious consumer who prioritises quality, longevity and well-being over faddy, fast ‘n’ cheap.

Every item bought from comes from a good place. A place of restless drive and innovation, where small, independent companies live and die by their reputations.

A place where people adapt and modernise and progress and move with the world around them in the name of betterment for all. That place is Cornwall, and we can’t think of anything more worthwhile than supporting our industries and showcasing our craft around the world.
